Big Apple Event January 27

Apple has announced a mayor event on January 27 2010. The rumor is the long awaited Tablet Mac or iSlate or whatever name Apple will use.

Sources in a position to know tell me Apple (AAPL) is indeed planning a media event later this month at which it will announce a major new product. The gathering is to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, a space Apple often uses for media events like these. According to other sources, it will occur on Wednesday Jan. 27, not Tuesday Jan. 26, as had been rumored.
I will be posting updates to my spanish Mac related website www.macnotas.com.

Sync Shared Calendars with Google Sync in iPhone or iTouch

Finally you can Sync and even Edit shared calendars from Google Calendar to your iPhone or iPod Touch iCal App using Google Sync. You can Select up to 5 Calendars to Sync on your device, this includes the Shared Calendars. The first step is to configure the iPhone/Touch Microsoft Exchange with your gmail.com account. Because I use Apple MobileMe service to Sync Mail, Contacts and Calendars I do not turned ON the Contacts Sync switch, only activated the Calendars Sync. To configure your iPhone or iPod Touch follow these instructions: Google Sync setup and Sync: Set Up Your iPhone or iPod Touch Note: If you already have an active Microsoft Exchange account configured on your device you cannot use Google Sync. Only one active Microsoft Exchange account can be active on your iPhone/Touch. After configure Google Sync and confirm it works OK on your device, the next step is to configure Google Sync to activate the rest of Regular and Shared Calendars.

1- Using the Mobile Safari Browser on your iPhone/Touch go to http://m.google.com/sync img_0002

Note: Make sure the page loads in English. If you use another language please change it to English or the Sync page will not load. 2- Click on Sign in with your Google Account and login with your Gmail Account. After login you will see the next screenshot, then select your device to configure. img_0008

Now you can select up to 5 Calendars, this includes the Shared ones. img_0010 Select the Calendars you want to Sync and click Save. Now open iCal and it will show the Calendars you just selected. Note the orange events are a Shared Calendar from www.twitlive.tv. I can also Sync the MobileMe Calendars at the same time. img_0002_3 Enjoy...
